The Fedora team has released the final version, the working Fedora 41.
This release removes Python 2, re-imports the NVIDIA binary driver through the software center, and upgrades the handling of DNF packages.
“Although it may not be part of Fedora Linux, we know that the NVIDIA binary driver is realistically necessary for many people. Previously, NVIDIA driver installation was removed from GNOME Software because it did not support Secure Boot, which is increasingly used by default on laptops
This change restores the option for Fedora Workstation users with Secure Boot support”.
“In Fedora Linux 41, the DNF package management command will be updated to version 5. (DNF5 and bootc will be available on Fedora variants such as Atomic desktops and Fedora IoT)
The new packages will make it easier to create. and update the bootable container images based on these variations.”
