After its official release Firefox 112, Mozilla pushed the next major release, Firefox 113, to the beta channel for public testing.
Firefox 113 will be an interesting release for fans of the browser because it will support AV1 (AVIS) animations, a more secure password generation that will now also include special characters and an improved Picture-in-Picture feature that will allow you to reset, control video duration, and enable full screen mode more easily.
Another interesting change not yet mentioned in the new release notes is the fact that Mozilla will finally release an official DEB binary for Debian and Ubuntu systems. This will make it much easier for users of the distributions to update Firefox to the latest version on release day.
However, we should mention that the DEB package needs the libgdk-pixbuf-xlib-2.0-0 and libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 packages installed.
Download the official Debian package for 64-bit systems firefox-113.0b1.deb and for 32-bit systems firefox-113.0b1.deb.
