Mozilla has finally confirmed the “Nova” redesign for Firefox. The new design offers faster performance, improved privacy tools, cleaner graphics, customization improvements, accessibility improvements, and more.
It is expected to be released later this year and you can try Firefox Nova by downloading the latest nightly builds.
The update was known internally as “Project Nova,” and the Firefox UX team describes the redesign as “a refresh, not a replacement.” The company said the project was designed to keep up with the rapidly changing web and evolving user expectations for modern browsers.
Mozilla he says that Firefox development will continue to be done openly with feedback from its community and encourages users to continue sharing their opinions as the redesign evolves.
Users interested in seeing Firefox Novaa up close they should download one of the latest Nightly builds, access the Advanced Preferences page via the Configuration Editor (about:config). There, search for “browser.nova.enabled” and set the value from false to true. Then restart the application.
Please note that Nightly builds are experimental and you may experience stability issues.
Although the press releases will range from very select to rare, I said I'd pass...because sometimes the editors hide.
