The army of USA συνεχίζει να κατασκευάζει όλο και πιο προηγμένα μη επανδρωμένα εναέρια οχήματα (unmanned aerial vehicles UAVs), γνωστά και ως drones.
The American company Battelle, on the other hand, has developed a gun-gun weapon to deal with unwanted unmanned aircraft flying around you.
DroneDefender is a revolutionary weapon specifically designed to target and strike flying drones from just 400 meters, but without completely destroying them.
Battelle's DroneDefender uses radio waves to neutralize in-flight drones and force them to land or stay away from you or return to their take-off point.
See a related one video which seems to work the weapon. In the demonstration the shooter forces the ungrounded craft to land at the desired spot.

According to manufacturer's website, DroneDefender weighs less than 5 pounds and can disable a hostile unmanned aircraft within 400 meters.
Really, how does DroneDefender work?
Once the gun operator pulls the trigger, the DroneDefender emits radio pulses that disrupt the drone's communications system (both the drone and GPS signalsender) thus preventing the drone from receiving additional commands from its operator.
The drone not having communication with its operator, starts a protocol which instructs it either to hover continuously in place or to land slowly at the point where it lost its signal, or to return to its take-off point.
This is not the first weapon specially designed to shoot drones. Besides of course the classic weapons that can break almost everything, have been built and other weapons against the drones, even laser.
ΤBattelle DroneDefender, however, is the first device that is able to hit the UAV in the sky without harming their system.
