Adobe's Flash Player is another step closer to its grave as Google makes a shift towards HTML5 by setting it as the default in Browser Chrome.
In the next few days, Google will make HTML5 the default. So far, 1% of Chrome 55 users have this setting. So, with the new version of Chrome 56 Beta, HTML5 is expected to be the default, ie with about 50% of users.
For users of Stable versions of this setting will come to their computers around February 2017.
Google is also expected to disable it Flash by the Chrome browser once it adopts HTML5. Users who still want to view Flash content will be able to do so, but they should allow it to run manually.
