Ford presented two prototype electric bikes at Mobile World Congress that aim to make cycling safer on city streets.
The two electric bikes, called MoDe:Me and MoDe:Pro, each have a 200-watt electric motor and battery 9 ampere-hours (Ah)΄They can develop speed up to 25km/h.
However, its electric bikes Ford They also have a sensor on the back that warns the rider if a car is approaching quickly, to take appropriate action if necessary.
The warning does not require any visual contact but is made via a vibration on the rider's steering wheel. However, if by chance you have the corresponding application "running" on your smartphone, then you will receive a corresponding warning from your mobile phone.
In addition, the lights on the two edges of the steering wheel as well as the rear lights flash to warn the driver of the car.
Both bikes can be connected to Ford's original MoDe: Link app, which is only compatible with the iPhone 6. With this app, users can specify a desired destination and then get vibration directions on the steering wheel (their steering wheel handle just vibrates from the side where you need to turn) and at the same time flashes the lights automatically to inform other road users where to move.
Because both bikes are foldable, when you enter a desired destination, the results you get for possible routes could include cycling to the station subway, for as part of your route, for example. It even includes the cost of any public transport if you choose to include it in your itinerary.
