This year's FOSSCOMM 2020 will be held online by the University of Western Macedonia. Applications opened.
The organizing committee of FOSSCOMM 2020 invites the open and free software communities as well as anyone interested to submit a request for a speech or workshop at https://pretalx.2020.fosscomm.gr/fosscomm-2020/cfp until November 1, 2020. The official language is Greek, but it is possible to accept suggestions in English.
FOSSCOMM 2020 will be held online on November 21 and 22, 2020 by the University of Western Macedonia,
Fosscomm is organized by the Greek Free and Open Source communities in a different city each year, and is attended by communities, developers and companies dealing with Open Technologies. More than 800 delegates join Fosscomm each year. So far, a total of 12 Fosscomm conferences have been organized starting from 2008 in Athens, Larissa, Thessaloniki, Patras, Serres, Athens, Lamia, Athens, Piraeus, Athens, Heraklion and Lamia respectively.
Organization of speeches
The speeches will belong to one of the following fields, there is no restriction as there is the possibility to create new categories, the reason for the categorization is to be able to become the best possible organization of speeches.
For speeches, the maximum presentation time will be 30 minutes including questions, 30 minutes is an upper limit, so a speech can last less than 30 minutes. For workshops, the suggested time is 2 hours, however and here there is no limit, a workshop can last from 1 to 2.5 hours.
