Google has brought back “Androidify”, a fun old app where you could make your own little Android that looks just like you.
Google's Androidify was a fun app that allowed you to customize a Bugdroid to look like yourself or anyone else. The app was last updated in 2016 and was removed from the Google Play Store in 2020.
It was fun, but users probably got bored with it, traffic dropped, and Google eventually abandoned it. Now, it's back with a new name and new customization options.
So Google just launched a new website that lets you “build your own Android Bot”. The company decided to give the Bugdroid a little more care, and now it's 2D, as opposed to the flat XNUMXD look used in past ads.
All you need to do is enter on this site, which will allow you to customize your Android to your liking. You can change the skin color, put different clothes on him, add head accessories and maybe even give him things to hold like a tie, a guitar or even an Xbox-like controller.
The only thing you can't change are his basic elements, such as his eyes, antennae/ears, and the overall structure of his design. At the end you can download it as a transparent .png image, or with a QR Code to get a URL of your image.
