FydeOS 22.1 runs Android and Linux apps like ChromeOS

FydeOS, developed by Fyde Innovations, is a lightweight operating system that carries a Linux kernel, a browser platform, and container technology drivers.

FydeOS supports the latest web application standards and is capable of running Android and Linux applications (enabling the included Android and Debian subsystems), providing an experience similar to the Google Chromebook.

Users have the option to use cloud services provided by Google, services supported by Fyde Innovations, or a local account. FydeOS is based on ChromiumOS, which is open source and includes the Chromium browser.

It is available for free for most standard Intel/AMD personal computers.
