Have you bought the Galaxy Note 7 and want to check if its battery betrays you? Samsung today released an official Galaxy Note 7 device security checklist (available at the end of this post).
In case you haven't heard, Samsung has announced an unprecedented recall for the Galaxy Note 7, after a few isolated cases of the device exploding during loading of battery.
The company was initially accused of not cooperating with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, but has now begun the formal revocation process in partnership with the government.
If you have a Galaxy Note 7 device or plan to buy some news, you will obviously have a few questions about your security.
Let's see how you can find out if the device you have or intend to get belongs to the "explosive" series of Samsung.
First way out of the packing box
The easiest way is to check the packaging box of the device. The new ones Appliances they can be identified by a circular sticker with a blue “S.” on it. There is also a small black box in the lower right corner of its sticker Barcode, as a back up identifier.
Second way from the phone itself
But let's say you don't have the packing box for some reason. Samsung is building a base data where customers can verify using their device's IMEI/MEID if their device is from a safe lot.
Your IMEI is in the barcode in the box, but you can also see it from the device itself in three different ways:
1. From Settings – General management – Status – IMEI information ή
2. Type * # 06 # or
3. Find a way to see the attenuated text at the bottom of your device's back.
Then you can check from the database just released by the company:
