Several verified profiles on Gettr, the new social network by Jason Miller, once an adviser to former President Trump, were hacked and distorted for a while on Sunday.
The accounts of many prominent Republicans, such as Miller, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and spokeswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, were changed by a hacker who replaced their page headers with the same message: "@JubaBaghdad was here :) ^^ free palestine ”.” according to screenshots.

Twitter user @JubaBaghdad told Insider that it was easy to break the pages and that he did it "for fun". Most of the affected profiles had returned a little later.
Jason Miller said in an emailed statement to The Verge that the problem was identified and "fixed within minutes, and all the attacker was able to accomplish was changing a few usernames." He added that "more than half a million" had registered on the Gettr platform users".
Gettr was scheduled to officially launch yesterday on July 4th. The new social network intends to host video three-minute long, 777-character posts and live streaming videos.
The application of the new platform is available in its app stores Google και της Apple, με το tag “Marketplace of Ideas”. Intended for users 17 years and older.
When Trump was ousted from Facebook and Twitter in January after the Capitol uprising, he said he planned to start his own social network, apparently acknowledging the power of social media to the masses.
