In particular, the newspaper and the police editor reveal documents that appear to have been prepared by the Center for Security Studies and the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation, from which it emerges that Intellexa had joined, after internal consultations and pressure that appears to have also come from ministerial executives, a consortium of innovative companies (cluster), which aspired to obtain certain funds for its financing.
As Mr. Lambropoulos said, the Center for Security Studies is a center that has been under the ancient Police, the Ministry of Citizen Protection, for the last 15-20 years.
The mandate was to collaborate with the specific consortium, of which Intellexa was a part, in order to finance the consortium and finance Intellexa through it, to produce an artificial intelligence crime prevention product.
As the police editor said, it seems that a specific manager of the consortium that was exclusively related to artificial intelligence was instructed to contact the managers of Intellexa. The documents describe a meeting at the office of Mr. Yannis Lavranos, who is one of the four convicted, and a meeting at the Intellexa offices with the Israelis.
