Don't worry – your phone hasn't been hacked yet, nor has Meta (Facebook) been compromised. What you're seeing is actually a well-known Google Play Store visual glitch that's occurring to many (not all) users.
What exactly is happening:
The cause: A Google Play Store bug
Instead of the Play Store displaying the usual category (like “Social”) or the developer name (“Meta Platforms, Inc.”), Google’s system accidentally pulls an incorrect word—the word “hacked”—and displays it right below the Facebook title.
Basics to keep you calm
It's purely a matter of appearance: This is an error in Google's cache or database.
The app is completely safe: The Facebook shown there is the official, legal and safe Meta app.
Not visible to everyone: This glitch is very unstable. It mostly appears on specific servers or depending on the region, which is why only some users see it.
How to fix it
If you want this annoying word to disappear, you can force the Play Store to refresh its data:
Long-press the Google Play Store icon on your phone and select App info (the “i” icon).
Go to Storage & Cache.
Tap Clear Cache. If that doesn't fix it, tap Clear Data as well.
Reopen the Play Store and the app should appear normally.
