Gmail see the new design

Google began to circulate the new Gmail with exclusive tabs for Mail, Chat, Rooms, and Meet for G Suite customers.

The company brings all its services to Gmail to allow να ολοκληρώνουν τη δουλειά τους χωρίς να χρειάζεται να εγκαταλείψουν την εφαρμογή Gmail στη on Android or the web.

The four new Mail, Chat, Rooms and Meet tabs aim to provide G Suite customers with a complete workplace experience.

The Mail tab will allow users to access their messages, while the Chat tab will host all their messages and allow them to send instant messages to other users in their organization.

Rooms are basically “spaces for shared conversations, missions and shared tasks to help teams work more easily on projects".
Finally, there is the Meet tab that will display all the online meetings you can view and attend.

As part of the update, Google also introduced some new features such as the ability to assign group tasks, improved which will allow you to filter between email and chat results, a Do Not Disturb, pinning in the Rooms app and more. Users will also be able to open and edit a document directly from Gmail.

This new integrated workplace approach will allow G Suite users to switch to a video call from a live chat through the Gmail app, create and schedule new tasks, and more. Google first announced this new redesign of Gmail last month.

Google will first make the new design available to G Suite users who have enabled the "Chat preferred" setting. The changes for the domains will be available from September 1, 2020.

After September, the company may make the new design available to everyone, not just G Suite customers.
