Google knows everything about you and there is a way to see it. Just open your Google account (Gmail, YouTube, Android, etc.) and follow the path: Data & Privacy – View my Activity as shown below. You can of course also see View YouTube History, and Google Maps Timeline
The tables record:
Search engine searches
Browsing history (if active)
Videos you watched on YouTube
Voice commands from mobile or smart devices
Places you've visited (if location history is on)
Apps you used on Android
What's impressive isn't that data is collected. It's that it remains stored for years.
Location History: If enabled, Location History displays:
Routes
Cities you visited
Residence times
For some it is a useful file.
For others, it's overexposure.
The setting can be disabled — but it often remains enabled by default.
The voice commands that have been saved
If you've used voice search or an assistant, there may be recorded audio clips.
You can listen to them and delete them.
What can you do
Delete selected activity.
Set automatic deletion every 3, 6 or 18 months.
Disable specific types of tracking.
This data is used for:
Personalized ads
Content suggestions
Service improvement
Of course, the more data there is, the more accurate your digital profile becomes.
Although the press releases will range from very select to rare, I said I'd pass...because sometimes the editors hide.
