GoDaddy warns of phishing: Domain and web registrar users hosting of GoDaddy Inc. are once again the target of two new phishing scams attempting to gain access to their accounts.
The main phishing scam sends e-mail to the company's users, who report that their domain has been sold, while a second, lesser-known scam concerns users who receive notifications and report that their inbox is full.
GoDaddy Product Manager Joe Styler issued a warning about the first phishing scam last week, attaching an e-mail with the subject line: “Congratulations! The following domain name was sold at auction ", while pretending to be from GoDaddy itself.
The second phishing email is addressed to users who use GoDaddy to host their website. The email is supposed to come from support@godaddy.com and claims that their e-mail account storage space has reached the limit and that they can not receive new messages.
Malicious e-mail reports that users must upgrade their account within 24 hours or will be suspended.
Ο link provided in the message goes to the address

which looks like a normal GoDaddy page. So if o user fills out the form with his information, actually sending it into the hands of scammers even though he is directed to a legitimate GoDaddy page.
Both Google Chrome and Firefox users will be notified that the site they visit is false, but users of other browsers may not be so lucky.
