GoDaddy has reached an agreement to acquire Sucuri, a company that provides security products and services for websites. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Sucuri is a security platform that offers a suite of security tools to protect websites from emerging online threats. Sucuri's suite of tools provides website owners with the solution they need to respond to hacks when they happen and fix vulnerabilities.
The company provides a plug-in for the WordPress platform, and is actively involved in promoting WordPress security and web site awareness.
"The vast majority of our customers are not web security experts, nor should they be to secure their websites," said Kevin Doerr, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Security at GoDaddy.
“With Sucuri at GoDaddy we will advance digital security for our customers by making it easy, timely and affordable. We will continue to invest in Sucuri to co-develop products they promote solutions security. ”
The Sucuri team consists of programmers, analysts and researchers focused on different types of attacks. This approach enables the development of a system that provides a seamless flow of information between internal groups and the larger online community. This process is the key to Sucuri's product development and its ability to stay up to date with emerging threats.
