The purpose of the event was to capture the difficulties faced by students and young graduates in their efforts to engage in Stratups and to present them to the relevant political and institutional bodies in order to provide concrete answers and appropriate solutions.

At the same time, the purpose of the event was to create a base which will systematically and methodically record and present the required steps that the new entrepreneur needs to take to create his first start up.

The open day event is part of the Idea (l) Environment initiative launched last week with relatively thematic working groups in the ASOC and the NTUA to make the first record and thoroughly discuss the basic bureaucratic, administrative, financial, legal, but also the other problems faced by "student entrepreneurship".

As Dionysis Kolokotas, Google Public Policy Manager, said, "This is an effort to find practical solutions. Students of Electrical and Computer Engineering in collaboration with students of Economics and Trade Schools undertook this very important initiative: to mobilize the state, the business community and the stakeholders to speed up the necessary institutional improvements for the benefit of youth and student entrepreneurship.

Greece ranks 5th worldwide in the availability of engineers and scientists and 91st in competitiveness. This can only change if our young people take business risks and innovate - and this requires a business-friendly environment for potential failures.

Google actively supports for the third year in a row the excellent actions of EESTEC such as competition, the jobs fair, the open day and the "Idea(l) Environment" project
