Samba is a pretty useful one protocol networking, but all the its previous versions were extremely vulnerable to certain attacks.
Remember it WannaCry, and NotPetya; Both used defects in SMBv1 to spread and infect computers.
Anyway, h Google just released a SAMBA client for Android which only supports SMBv1 shares.
Literally, only SMBv1 shares. Corbin Davenport from Android Police reviewed it application with a Samba share on a device that uses the more modern and more secure SMBv2 protocol. He found that the new Google client couldn't even connect.
Given the important pconditions and Google's know-how along with all the latest publications on the insecure SMBv1, the above fact of the company releasing such a Samba Client leaves us speechless.
