Google has problems as a new report claims a former company employee said the new Bard chatbot uses data from rival service ChatGPT.
The Bard chatbot, launched the public trials last week, is also his rival bingchat της Microsoft, που έχει άδεια χρήσης της τεχνολογίας ChatGPT της OpenAI. Ωστόσο, σύμφωνα με μια αναφορά από το The Information, ο πρώην ερευνητής της Google AI Jacob Devlin αποχώρησε πρόσφατα από την εταιρεία, όταν προειδοποίησε τον διευθύνοντα σύμβουλο της A, Sundar Pichai, that Bard was getting data from ChatGPT in an indirect way.
Specifically, Devlin stated that Bard's development team had access to a site called ShareGPT, where the talks by ChatGPT for everyone to check. However, Google spokesperson Chris Pappas quickly sent a statement to The Verge, which categorically states that "Bard has not been trained on data from ShareGPT or ChatGPT."
Reporters from The Information also claim, via anonymous sources, that Google's Brain AI team is joining forces with DeepMind, another artificial intelligence company under Alphabet.
The two teams are reportedly working together on a new project codenamed Gemini. The goal of the project is to create a product that can compete with OpenAI's efforts. The post seems to suggest that Google wants to have another chatbot on the sidelines if the company's efforts with Bard fail.
