Google Automatically delete Web & App Activity data

If you use Google services you should know that there is a new feature for automatically deleting your business activities on the web and in corporate applications.

The new feature complements existing options for pausing web and app activity logging and manually deleting the activity of a Google Account.

Google revealed in early May of 2019 that it was going to develop a new privacy feature that would enable its users to automatically delete their activity.

The company has taken control of the storage or not of some activities on the My Activity management page. Google services users can find these options on their account management page and define the data stored on YouTube, the Web, apps, location, and more.

. The new option may be of interest to those who have not stopped storing activity data.

Activity data from the web and the company's applications are saved when you use different Google services such as Maps, Google Earth, Search or Google Play. Of course, Google says it uses this data to create personalized experiences.

To set automatic data deletion:

Visit the page "Web & App Activity. ” You must be signed in to a Google Account. If you are not, you will be asked to sign in.
Find the new "Select Auto Delete" button and enable it.

Choose one of the available storage periods. Google currently offers two 3 or 18 months.

Select Next.

A confirmation will appear on the next page and the data (if any) will be deleted based on the new data retention setting.
Confirm to complete the process and enable the new data retention policy or cancel for exit without saving.
