After public announcement by Google for upcoming ChatGPT competitor Bard on Monday night, the company is urging its employees to try out its chatbot.
CNBC reports that Google CEO, Sundar Pichai sent an internal email shortly after Bard's unveiling on Monday, saying he expects all Googlers to help Bard find its rhythm.
The email from Pichai stated that Google needs the comments of her employees for Bard”in the spirit of an interior hackathon". He also said that "We're approaching this effort with an intensity and focus that reminds me of early Google — so I thank everyone who contributed."
Pichai added that Google will bring in external developers and enterprise customers to test new APIs based on LaMDA, the AI platform that Bard will also use. Google's plan is to release new APIs and tools to third parties so they can access its AI technology to build new apps.
Η Bard announcement on Monday it's clearly an attempt by Google to dampen the rise of the popular chatbot Chat GPT of OpenAI.
