The Google Classroom project has completed its pilot phase and is now available for all teachers through Google Apps.
Google Classroom was unveiled in May. Google created one online εργαλείο που ενσωματώνει το Google Drive, Docs and Gmail and aims to encourage educators to use its services for online assignment and collection of projects, as well as fostering channels of communication between teachers and students inside and outside the classroom. Google Classroom is offered as part of the Google Apps for Education suite.
Google Classroom allows teachers to intervene and collect online assignments, make announcements, and create separate motion folders for each student. In addition, in a similar way to Google+, students can post a "sream" of content or connect with other classmates.
In order to maintain student privacy, Google Classroom is ad-free, i.e. it does not contain advertisements and the data will not be used for marketing purposes.
It is available in 42 languages, and according to the company, "works well" on most mobile devices.
