What is Google Go?
Google launched Google Go in 2017. The lightweight app came as part of a series of apps designed to attract users to emerging markets. The overall vision of Android Go was (and still is) to cover "the next billion users".
Google Go is a lightweight application designed to "access information both online and in the world around you." Google Go is just 7MB (so it uses less storage on your device) and keeps working even when you have an unreliable connection.

It is essentially a light version of it standard Google application. It is smaller, uses less RAM and less mobile data. If you go offline, it will save the search queries until your internet connection is restored, allowing you to continue where it left off.
While Google Go is less powerful than the standard Google app, you still have access to Google Lens, allowing you to locate objects in the real world. As a bonus, Google Go can read your web pages using a combination of AI and language editing.
Google Go is a valuable replacement for the standard Google application. This makes it necessary for those who have low quality phones or unstable internet connection. And if you want to save storage, you need to add Google Go to your applications.
