According an invitation sent to The Verge from Google, the company is preparing to introduce its own ChatGPT. The invitation to the event states:
“Using the power of artificiality intelligenceWe will rethink the way people search, explore and interact with information, making it more natural and intuitive than ever to find what they need."
In other words, Google will release its own AI and it is of course aiming to compete with OpenAI's ChatGPT. The 40-minute event will be presented live on YouTube on February 8.

Google's parent company, Alphabet, presented its earnings yesterday and Google/Alphabet CEO, Sundar Pichai, promised that "very soon people will be able to interact directly with our newest, most powerful linguistic AI models as a Search companion in experimental and innovative ways."
The company went on red alert when it saw ChatGPT skyrocket and even brought co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin back out of retirement to help.
