The Google Maps made one of its most useful updates by showing whether a location, such as a building or restaurant, is wheelchair accessible.
The sources of information for these updates are essentially the users of Google Maps, who record and answer questions about the places they visit, indicating, for example, the average cost of a meal or parking space, etc.
The service is not yet available for Greece, but if you drive in America you will find the wheelchair accessibility information under the “Amenities” section when you search for a point of interest on the Map, and you can also add your own conclusions.
The new feature was built by Rio Akasaka, one of the directors of Google Drive who took advantage of the right that Google gave its employees to work for 20% of their working time on their own projects.
