The next version of Google Maps for Android (later on iOS) will come with a new feature that will provide your destination while driving and providing you with useful information.
Android Police reports that the latest version of the app has a new "Driving Mode» which will be useful for when you already know the way to your destination. You can turn it on from within the app and the new feature will guess exactly where you're going, with base your searches and location history.
It will then give you traffic updates and estimated time of arrival based on traffic on the streets.
Driving Mode, as we mentioned above, exists in version 9.19 of Google Maps for Android (attention test version) and which already has start to be distributed by informal channela. If you don't have it new edition still, you can try to install the APK yourself.
However, it is worth noting that you will need to set up the application to turn on the feature, and Android Police reportedly has difficulty setting up. Hopefully this issue will be resolved once the application is available through official channels.
There is currently no information on when the iOS application driver will be released.
