Google was released Gemini 3.7 Flash just three weeks after 3.6 Flash, focusing on better scheduling, agentic workflows, and business automation, while also temporarily halving API prices until the end of 2026. 
For enterprise developers, the most important thing may be the lower cost: by the end of 2026, Gemini 3.7 Flash costs $0,75 per million input tokens and $3,75 per million output tokens.
Starting January 1, 2027, pricing will increase to $1,50 per million input tokens and $7,50 per million output tokens. This means that the current discount may be temporary, but it gives teams developing high-volume scheduling agents and enterprise agents several months to evaluate whether Google’s claimed reductions in iterations and manual oversight translate into lower overall operating costs. The new release also highlights Google’s rapid updates to the Flash lineup, while the next top-of-the-line Pro model remains absent.
Google describes Gemini 3.7 Flash as “the most intelligent working model it has ever built for programming and agents.” The company says the model adapts better when it encounters obstacles, clarifies intent when necessary, and follows instructions more faithfully.
Google's benchmarks show big improvements across several software engineering tests. Google's own results don't show that 3.7 Flash is universally displacing higher-priced competitors. Instead, they suggest a model that has become significantly more competitive in scheduling and agent workloads, while occupying a lower pricing tier.
Although the press releases will range from very select to rare, I said I'd pass...because sometimes the editors hide.
