Search Live becomes available to even more users

Search Live is designed for those times when real-time help is needed and typing a query just isn't enough.

To use Search Live, the user simply needs to open the Google app on Android ή iOS  and tap the Live icon below the search bar. From there, they can ask their question out loud to get a helpful audio response, then continue the conversation with follow-up questions or dig deeper with relevant online links.

Specifically, if a user wants to ask about something that’s in front of them at the moment, such as instructions on how to install a new shelf, they can activate their camera to add visual content. This way, Search can “see” what the camera is capturing, offering helpful suggestions, as well as links to more information online.

Search Live is now also accessible through Google Lens. If you’re already using your camera with Lens, simply tap “Live” at the bottom of the screen to start a two-way, real-time conversation about objects or situations you’re seeing in the physical world.

Google continues to evolve Search to make it even more useful and immediate, and the company looks forward to seeing how users around the world use Search Live to learn, explore, and make their lives easier.
