Google Search with AI Mode coming soon to you

If you thought her AI updates are finished for this year, think again. Adding a series of new features related to intelligence, Google is preparing to integrate a new, artificial intelligence-powered version of the most iconic of – in Google Search or Google Search.

Google Search will soon have an “AI Mode”

According to a report by The Information, Google is in the process of adding an “AI Mode” to its search engine, which will allow you to interact with a chatbot-like interface while searching for something. Obviously, you will see the option to access AI Mode on the results page once you enter your first search query.

A AI was also recently spotted by Android Authority in a beta version of the Google app.

AI Mode will have its own tab next to the existing Google Search tabs we know, across pages, images, news, shopping and more.

In the AI tab, you'll reportedly see relevant web links as seen in normal search results, but accompanied by a chat response and a search for follow-up questions, similar to the Gemini app.

Gemini vs Google Search's AI Mode

Like me, you might be wondering: don't we already have this functionality with Gemini?

Maybe the difference is just access. Google will be able to have more conversations with people using its artificial intelligence if it sticks the feature in the middle of its famous search engine.

The ability to quickly switch from an AI chatbot to other tabs like Shopping, News, or Images would be quite appealing.

We can assume that this new feature is a reaction to the latest release from OpenAI of a search through ChatGPT which looks like Google.

But one thing is certain: Google will do whatever it takes to maintain its dominance of the search engine it built its name on.

Google will be disappointed the day someone says “ChatGPT it” instead of “Google it”.
