While Google's project for a self-driving vehicle is closer to reality, the company is reportedly preparing to join the A Inc. since 2016, as reported by Bloomberg Business.
Google's self-driving cars are being tested on the streets of Austin in San Francisco and by November 2015 there were 53 vehicles in circulation.
The company's first goal is to create a program ride-sharing, for testing in public spaces such as colleges or university campuses.
By converting the project into a standalone Alphabet Inc. company, Google may look in depth at ways that can profit from cars without a driver, directly challenging popular ride-sharing services such as Uber and Lyft.
Currently, there are monthly reports on car testing, indicating that some vehicles have been involved in minor accidents.
There was even one that fell on a police officer, according to TNW.
