Google: automatically blurs inappropriate images in search results

Google is rolling out a new online safety feature to help users avoid seeing violent or pornographic graphics when using its search engine. google blur images

The new feature was announced at its event s for Safer Internet Day today Tuesday.

The new default setting will be enabled for everyone and will automatically blur inappropriate images displayed on , even for users who do not have SafeSearch enabled.

Google confirmed to The Verge that, if they choose, logged-in users over the age of 18 will be able to turn off the blur setting completely after its release in the "coming months".
