Google VPN now also on desktops

Google is expanding its VPN offering from Google One to desktop devices. Google One VPN launched this year, initially for mobile devices. But now you'll be able to use it on Windows and macOS if you have a Google One Premium plan with 2TB of storage or more ($9,99/month or $99/year).

Like any other VPN, Google VPN can protect your online activity by transferring your data through an encrypted tunnel. However, using Google VPN will not prevent the company from collecting data if you use its other cloud services.

If you have the required Google One subscription, you can use Google VPN starting today. You'll need a PC running Windows 10 or Windows 11 or a Mac running macOS Big Sur or later.

Google will allow you to share access from Google One VPN with up to five family members at no additional cost. This offer is valid for Android, iOS, Windows and Mac devices.
