According to a complaint made by a company active in the provision of Internet, IT and advertising services, they have "perverted" information of confidential content and commercial value (clientele, sales and purchasing policy, important codes, etc.) of the company
The Electronic Crime Prosecutor's Office filed a case file against 31hronik for a privacy violation.
In particular, the investigation of the case began following a complaint by a company active in the provision of internet, IT and advertising services, in region of Attica, for "industrial espionage" against it.
According to the complaint, a 31-year-old local, who previously worked for this company, had robbed - stolen almost all the confidential confidential information and data to which he had gained, in the course of his duties.
More specifically, he had stored secret files and data of the company in a hospitality area except of the electronic files and the special server of the company. With the expertise he had acquired in the company, he copied, used and violated computer data and programs, which constitute professional and business secrets of the complaining company.
The foregoing was brought to the attention of the Prosecutor's Office of Athens and ordered a preliminary examination, as well as the provision of the necessary data by the internet service providers.
In the framework of researchs, yesterday (21-10-2014) a legal police investigation was carried out at the home of the 31-year-old citizen, where it was established, from the on-site digital investigation by specialized Officers of the Electronic Crime Prosecution Directorate, that he was involved in the case.
In more detail, the management of a disputed e-mail account, through which the subtheft corporate e-mail, company data and confidential information. Also, elements related to the hosting area were identified, where, according to the company's complaints, its confidential files and data were stored.
In total, eleven (11) computer hard drives, three (3) storage and interface portable (USB) storage portables, an external computer hard disk and printed matter related to the case under investigation
The Regular Proceedings filed will be submitted to the Attorney of the First Instance of Athens.
