The Twitter of Newsweek breached after an attack by her team Cyber Caliphate, που αποτελείται από hackers που συνδέονται με το Ισλαμικό Κράτος (isis).
Hackers managed to publish threatening tweets against Obama and his family, and change the background image to show an ISIS fighter.
During the 14-minute breach, the Cyber Caliphate group praised "cyber jihad" and posted pictures of documents allegedly stolen from the Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DICTA) and the US Pentagon.
"We know everything about you and your relatives and we are much closer than you can imagine," they said in a statement.
Newsweek confirmed the incident and editor-in-chief Kira Bindrim apologized to their readers.
