During the 14 minute violation, the Cyber Caliphate team praised cyber jihad and published images of documents allegedly stolen by the Defense Cyber Investigations Training Academy (DICTA) and the US Pentagon.
"We know everything about you and your relatives and we are much closer than you can imagine," they said in a statement.
Newsweek confirmed the incident and editor-in-chief Kira Bindrim apologized to their readers.
