The fourth and last day of Greek Missionς στο φετινό MWC ήταν η μέρα που οι περισσότεροι εκπρόσωποι των εταιριών που συμμετείχαν στην αποστολή ξεχύθηκαν στα γειτονικά αλλά και σε πιο μακρινά περίπτερα, προκειμένου να ενισχύσουν και να ολοκληρώσουν τις προσπάθειες δικτύωσης τους, αλλά και να “δέσουν” better the contacts that had already started.
Σε “εθνικό” επίπεδο, συνεχίσθηκαν οι επαφές με άλλες εθνικές αντιπροσωπείες, συγκεκριμένα με εκείνες της Scotlandς, της Ιρλανδίας, του Βελγίου, του Καναδά, της Καταλανίας, της Γαλλίας, της Ουγγαρίας, της Κορέας, του Μαρόκου και του Ιράν, με στόχο την αντchange απόψεων και τη διερεύνηση πιθανών συνεργιών, στο μέλλον.
Positive, was the report at "corporate" level… In the highlights of the day, representatives of VoiceWeb έκλεισαν συμφωνία με εταιρία της Τυνησίας, ολοκλήρωσαν τις επαφές τους με υφιστάμενους συνεργάτες και “άνοιξαν δρόμο” για συμφωνίες στην Αφρική, χώρες της Λατινικής Αμερικής, στη Russia και σε χώρες του CIS.
The Greek company focuses on the emerging markets of Africa, the Middle and the Far East. OR SoftWeb concluded agreement with big software House, with an international presence and aiming at cooperation to promote a common solution at pan-European level. OR Cytech completed a contact "marathon" (more than 15, within a XNUM hour) with very promising results, all showing a particular demand for the company's services in sub-Saharan Africa in order to meet requests for access from European countries. OR DAEM, προχώρησε σε συμφωνία με αμερικανική εταιρία με αντικείμενο το advanced σύστημα ελεγχόμενης στάθμευσης, το οποίο έχει εξελίξει η παλαιότερη ελληνική αναπτυξιακή εταιρία ΟΤΑ. Ο εκπρόσωπος της Pinatta has had significant contacts with major international providers to create and distribute content, and has received four strikes from developers to join Pinatta's "ecosystem".
Finally, his representatives SEKE and INNOVATHENS συναντήθηκαν με ομολόγους τους του οργανισμού Mobile World Capital, που είναι η σύμπραξη των επιχειρηματικών και ερευνητικών φορέων της Βαρκελώνης, και αντάλλαξαν εμπειρίες και ιδέες για συνεργασία τους στο μέλλον. Σημειωτέον, ότι η Βαρκελώνη και η Αθήνα είναι αδελφοποιημένες πόλεις με κοινά χαρακτηριστικά, όσον αφορά στη γεωπολιτική τους θέση στις άκρες της Μεσογείου, αλλά και κοινά προβλήματα αυτή την περίοδο της οικονομικής κρίσης. Είναι δυο πόλεις με πλούσιο σε τεχνογνωσία ανθρώπινο δυναμικό, το οποίο αντιμετωπίζει με δυναμισμό τις προcalls του παρόντος. Με αυτή την προσέγγιση, επιβεβαιώνεται η διάθεση για αμοιβαία αποδοτική συνεργασία σ' αυτόν τον ιδιαίτερα απαιτητικό, αλλά και πολλά υποσχόμενο τομέα.
Praise for the Panteion University
Η πολύ καλή δουλειά του Εργαστηρίου Διαφήμισης και Δημοσίων Σχέσεων (Social Media and Startups Lab team) του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου – το οποίο συμμετείχε και στήριξε την ελληνική αποστολή, τόσο με την Υπεύθυνη Επικ. καθηγ. Μπέτυ Τσακαρέστου όσο και με τους τεταρτοετείς φοιτητές Μαριάννα Θωμαδάκη και Νίκο Λάμπρου – σ' ό,τι αφορά στην κάλυψη από πλευράς κοινωνικών δικτύων, αναγνωρίστηκε από το GSMA, τους οργανωτές του MWC! Ο εκπρόσωπος του τμήματος Επικοινωνίας, Miquel Vidal Viloria, πέρασε από το ελληνικό περίπτερο και ζήτησε να γνωρίσει το ελληνικό “Twitter Team”, επαινώντας τη δουλειά τους και τη δυναμική παρουσία της Ελλάδας στα social media.
In conclusion…
The Greek presence in MWC, for the third consecutive year, was more important than ever before, drawing on the positive feedback from foreign visitors (as well as dozens of Greeks abroad, who with enthusiasm stopped and admired the Greek stand), both for innovative and original applications such as and for the breadth of the ecosystem in a sector that shows particular dynamics.
This, in fact, proved by the reactions of many surnames in the field who visited the Greek kiosk, praised the products and services of Greek businesses and they were surprised to hear that the broader ecosystem around the industry includes more than 300 "players" in Greece, which bring almost 1 billion in value added.
The effort to widen the ecosystem, as expressed in the motto of this year's MWC (Growing the Ecosystem), is clearly going to continue, with the aim of making this fast-growing industry an important building block for the country's development, the proper osmosis with the corresponding international ecosystem. This was also stressed by the former chairman and member of the Board of Directors of ETNO, Luigi Cambardella, who visited the Greek stand on the second day, stating that this was a very pleasant surprise.
At the same time, the successful presence of the Greek delegation at this year's MWC, as recognized by the participants themselves, was the best proof that companies, the State, local authorities and academic institutions can work together harmoniously and offer significant added value to the economy of the country, making the difference we all seek.

The sponsorship of Eurobank, the taste sponsorship of Earth's Brands, the support from Panteion University, One Team, Softweb, but also Ericsson Hellas, the collaboration with EEKT and the other innovative links of microelectronics (ENEBI), of aerospace (EVIDITE), biotechnology (H-bio), start-ups (EENE) and EEL/LAK also contributed to the successful presence of this year's Greek mission.
The first (internal) report of the Greek mission to the MWC will be held at 17 March and 16: 00, at INNOVATHENS, the innovation and entrepreneurship node of Technopolis of the City of Athens, to follow at 17: 30 Press Conference. The event takes place in 2 Athens Science Festival, which will last from 17 to 22 in the broader area of Technopolis, including dozens of events.
