Handbrake (1.11.2) is a great tool for anyone who wants to convert audio or video files from one format to another. The program is completely free and open source, built by volunteers, with a lot of great features.
It is available for all platforms ( Windows , macOS and Linux ) and has a very friendly user interface even for novice users who have never dealt with video editing-conversion.
Get started with HandBrake in seconds by choosing one of the profiles that already exist for each device you're interested in (default conversion types) or choose a universal profile for standard or premium conversions. For example you can convert videos to iPhone, PSP or any other device you care about very quickly with one option.
