The program we present today has a graphical interface of 2 windows. The left pane lists the various components of your computer. The list includes processor, memory, monitor, storage, USB, PCI, operating system and more.
Select an item and its details are displayed in the right part of the window. This is different for each item. For example, click on the processor tab and you will see at the top its name, model, frequency, while the rest of the window has the technical information.
The USB diagnostic tool lists the devices you have connected to, as well as those that have been used in the past on your computer, such as the "Show hidden devices" of Windows Device Manager. But HE - Hardware Read & Write Utility presents them in a more readable way. The app also tells you the serial number and / or component number of the items, so if you need to replace something, you can use it to get the right information before ordering.
The operating system has its own list of tools. You can use them to see a summary of your system, such as operating system information, BIOS, Power Status, etc. The Windows Device tab lists each device that is installed on your system along with the driver release details.
On the Process tab you can track the processes that are running. Other information tools in the program include service management, software, startup, event log, network adapter properties, etc.
The toolbar at the top of the HE - Hardware Read & Write Utility window can be used to navigate the left sidebar and refresh the list. You can also create a summary of your system hardware by clicking on the paper-like icon.
Additionally, the program can generate a report for your computer and its hardware. Click the Floppy drive icon on the toolbar to select the items you want to include in your report. Press the Start button to save the report in plain text (TXT).
