All you have to do is provide an account username or the email you use in your online services. The Have I Been Pwned website will cross-reference them directly information and it will let you know if your account is safe or not.

In essence, "Pwned" is a mutation of the word "Owned" meaning "Owned".

Also the service Notify Me, will notify you at e-mail when a new breach occurs that contains your own information.
