Hetzner increases prices for old and new customers

German hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH will increase prices for its services from April 1, 2026. Both new orders and existing products will be affected by the increases. Hetzner as a reason for the increases he cites increased operating expenses for its infrastructure, as well as significantly higher costs for purchasing new hardware.

Back in early February, Hetzner raised its one-time setup fees for dedicated servers. However, this measure does not fully cover the additional costs. So now it is increasing its monthly fees.

According to the company, high market prices for hardware components play a particular role. The RAM market is dominated by a few manufacturers whose pricing policy is particularly high. Prices for NVMe SSDs have also increased sharply. In addition, suppliers give unreliable delivery dates.

“Our servers are fundamentally designed for long-term, stable operation. Our goal is to offer fair and predictable monthly prices that remain the same for years,” Hetzner said in early February. However, extremely high procurement prices significantly disrupt this model.

Unlike previous price adjustments – for example, in 2022 due to rising energy costs – Hetzner is not excluding existing customers with long-term contracts. The company is currently considering whether the price increases will extend to other product lines.
