For all of you who have Android phone and you can't afford (like most) to always be online or usest iOS device and the same thing happens to you, there is a "hidden" feature of them Google Maps which can be terribly useful: the ability to "save" a map of interest to your device's cache and use it offline.
This trick is simple. Select the point of the map that you are interested in having at your disposal offline. Then to the bar searchs, type Ok maps and tap the search icon on your keyboard. You'll see how this map point is automatically stored in your device's cache and you can use it without connecting to a Wi-Fi or using your data.
Έτσι, όταν θα βρίσκεστε εκτός σύνδεσης internet και ανοίξτε ξανά τους Google Maps, αυτό το προσωρινά αποθηκευμένο στιγμιότυπο των Google Maps που σας ενδιαφέρει, θα είναι available on your screen.
If you're wondering, no, you can not get directions on how to get to your point of interest while you're offline. At least, however, you will not lose your way so easily.
