Workplaces and schools often tend to forbid accessibility to some websites because they do not want employees or students to waste time with them. But there are times when we really need the information from a blocked website and in such cases it is good to have a quick alternative without downloading and installing anything weird about our system (and then be responsible for it). One such solution is Google Translate.
Here you can see how to use it to access a webpage blocked on your network.
go to Google Translate and select a Latin-language that is not yours, say the German, in the text input field. Type the address of the webpage you want to access, and then wait for Google to translate. Make sure the translation field is set to translate into English.
Google Translate will be the same URL you wrote but will be an active link that you can click on it. Click on the translated text in the right box and you will now have access to the website through Google Translate, which now works as a proxy.
Google Translate will allow you to browse the pages of the website.
This trick only works to bypass websites that have been blocked from your local network but if a website is blocked by your service provider (as a government censure), then this trick will not work.
