HTC just sent a very enigmatic picture to the media. The email has no explanatory text with further indications, it simply states that the company "wanted to share the date of the next big announcement."
Even more puzzling is that the date (January 12, 2017) mentioned in HTC's event announcement is after the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show, a major trade show event where the Companies they usually make new product announcements.
However, HTC has made all its latest announcements online, rather than organizing large and outrageously expensive media events.
The only highlight of the event announcement is "For U", which as you can understand is not that enlightening.
Let's say that HTC has a history of cooperation with UnderArmor, which produces wearables.
We can see another one fitness band or a smartwatch?
It's a bit early to see the successor of HTC 10, but no one can know, everything is possible.
