Huawei HongMeng: faster than Android and iOS

The operating system developed by Huawei and often referred to as HongMeng will be faster than Android and macOS, according to company founder Ren Zhengfei.

Zhengfei talked about its development operating system in an interview given to a French magazine, explaining that HongMeng will support Android applications, but will be faster than the Google platform.

In addition, Zhengfei reported that there is already remarkable faster performance when comparing HongMeng with Apple's macOS, as the development team has focused specifically on achieving processing delays of less than 5ms.

Huawei

Huawei founder claims that the upcoming HongMeng operating system was designed from the ground up to be a universal platform. This way it can be installed not only on smartphones but also on other devices manufactured by the company, such as PC and tablet. In other words, it could be a complete replacement for Windows.

According to an order signed by US President Donald Trump in mid-May, Huawei no longer has the ability to use software and hardware developed by American companies, something that includes Android and Windows.

Huawei, of course, accelerated the development of its operating system after the ban. It looks like the upcoming HongMeng operating system could serve as an alternative for both, helping the company reduce its dependence on US companies and thus have an operating system that can be installed on any device.

HongMeng It is supposed to be released in 2019 starting from the Chinese market in the fall. The international release of the operating system will be completed next year.

Huawei will not abandon HongMeng's development efforts regardless of whether the situation with the United States changes.

So we should expect this operating system in Huawei smartphones, regardless of whether the company can use Android or not.
