Huawei has released the HarmonyOS 2 with the HarmonyOS Zone

The Chinese company Huawei has officially released its latest σε ορισμένα προϊόντα. With HarmonyOS Zone in Huawei App Marketplace, it makes it easier for operating system users to find and install compatible applications. Users can search for the terms "HarmonyOS" or "HongMeng" in the App Marketplace to find the Zone that offers only compatible apps. Applications made for HarmonyOS are labeled "HMOS" in the corner of the application icon.

The Chinese company is preparing to add new features to its internal system to make it easier for third-party developers to develop applications for . When Huawei first revealed the operating system it said it plans to update 100 devices and it could take as long as the first half of 2022 to complete the process.

The company plans to roll out more than 300 devices running HarmonyOS (or HongMeng OS as it's called in China) by the end of this year. It will be interesting to see if Huawei manages to push its new software as an alternative to Android.

Huawei has made all the basic HarmonyOS modules available at the Open Atom Open Source Foundation. This allows interested device manufacturers to have HarmonyOS system codes to develop products according to their requirements. There are currently more than 500.000 developers working with the HarmonyOS team and the company expects many more to join soon.
