NASA's Hubble Space Telescope was released the largest photomosaic of all time with more than 200 million stars, all of which are brighter than our own Sun.
It consists of more than 600 overlapping images from Hubble and 2,5 billion pixels.
"That's a huge number, but only a fraction of the estimated one trillion stars that exist in the Andromeda galaxy," he says TechSpot.
“Many of the lower-mass Andromeda stars are beyond the sensitivity limit of Hubble and therefore are not represented in the image.”
“NASA has several sizes of the panoramic image available for download, including full-size image that reaches 203 MB (42.208 x 9.870) but also a more user-friendly variant at 9 MB (10.552 x 2.468).”
