At the IFA 2024 consumer electronics trade show in Germany, Lexar unveiled the world's first stainless SD cards
The Lexar cards Armor Gold SD UHS-II and Silver Pro SD UHS-II are made of inox 316L, and are the first in the world equipped with this material. They feature IP68 waterproofing, dust protection and, utilizing the steel housing, bend resistance.
Lexar's inox cards will come in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities, and pricing and availability information is not yet available. If an SD card is critical to you, then a good brand with a ruggedized case and an official IP rating might be worth it.
