Systems Administrator Day has been celebrated every year since 2000 on the last Friday of July.
This is a day dedicated to recognizing the important work of systems administrators and IT professionals who maintain and secure computer systems and networks.
The holiday, which is not a holiday, was started by Ted Kekatos, a systems administrator, who was inspired by an advertisement he saw that depicted some colleagues thanking their systems administrator for installing some new hardware.
Your network is secure, your computer is working normally, and your printer is not blocking. Why Because you have an amazing system administrator (or maybe an entire IT department) that keeps your business running.
