One of the biggest issues with Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 11 that users have had is the company's strict system requirements.
The reason for the hardware upgrade according to the company is to improve the security of the operating system, however, this does not mean that your system is completely safe.
The officially supported processors are quite modern, so one would expect a decent performance from their Windows 11 PCs.
However, there are many who continue to complain that their computer is not fast enough even on relatively powerful systems.
The Windows 11 Start Menu is comically bad.
This machine has a $1600 Core i9 CPU and 128 GB of RAM and this is the performance I often get.

Former Microsoft engineer Andy Young is one of those who noticed the slow performance of Windows 11 and decided to report it to Redmond. Young reports that he has a $9 Intel Core i1600 PC with 128GB of system memory. However, the performance of the Start menu is terrible.
To be clear, I love Windows. I helped build parts of it. I want it to be as good as it once was. If data suggests the software you build frustrates a significant percentage of users, it means there's work left to be done.

Young later clarified that he does not hate Windows as he had helped build parts of it during his time at the company. However, it feels like Windows 11 in its current state is incomplete.
One of the reasons for this performance may have to do with the ads that Windows 11 has. We can't say for now if the upcoming version, 24H2, will be any better. Insider builds still have performance issues, as pointed out (below) by Windows Insider Albacore, despite testing the 24H2 RTM build.
24H2 quality on my daily driver HW is not great
How have we reached the point of window positioning taking a second, post-initial render evenI would love to report this but this machine is cut off from FBH, if any MS folks want me to grab perf recordings or dumps please ping me pic.twitter.com/1nqQ4HNB0v
